Welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m happy that the stars aligned to bring you here! For those of you that may not know me, I’ll be happy to change that! I’m Abby McLain, a wedding and engagement photographer based in Kansas City, MO. My list of “loves” is probably too long to mention here, but includes: traveling with my husband, cool summer mornings, sweet tea and hugs from my Mama! While my focus remains on weddings & engagement, I am always eager to serve those who want to work with me and support my art. I love working with families, seniors, groups and individuals. I shoot everything from bachelorette parties and milestone birthdays to seniors and lifestyle or homestead sessions with families. All milestones and seasons of life should be celebrated and documented, and that’s what I’m here to do!

what you see is what you get
I pride myself in my ability to not only provide an amazing experience during your shoot, but also in the days leading up to and following our time spent together! I make myself readily available to answer any and all questions you might have about your big day. YOU are always my priority. As someone who has been through the challenges, excitement and emotions of planning their own wedding, you get high-quality, authentic images to look back on as well as an unwavering, experienced support system.
Digital Galleries
All sessions include a digital gallery of all your edited images in both color + black and white. All galleries are password-protected and include full downloading and printing rights to your images. Gallery links are sent via email, and you are free to share at your own discretion!
Engagement Session
Any wedding packages with 6 or more hours booked come with a complimentary engagement session! This is a great way for us to get to spend some time face-to-face and get to know each other! It also gives you a chance to see me in action and put my skills to the test! ;)
Turn-Around Time
Mini session & hour session galleries are returned within 1 week of the session. Wedding galleries are returned in 2-4 weeks. If outside circumstances prevent me from meeting our deadline, I will contact you immediately and set a new deadline. Of course, you’ll have sneak peeks to tide you over!
Meetings + Follow Ups
Getting married is exciting and can be stressful! After our first consultation call, I complete regular check-in’s via text or email. As we approach your big day, I also will schedule video or in-person meetings to review your timeline, details and shot list.
Location + Travel

While I love being a Kansas City girl, I am so excited to open up my books for destination weddings & elopements. I’ve primarily served clients in the Midwest and Southeast and am looking forward to checking off many more new cities & states in the near future. When traveling for personal reasons, I open up my availability with no additional travel fee! Keep an eye on my social media for availability!
